Kaanapali Paradise
A Guest Post - Maui is truly a great place!
I am a frequent visitor to Maui and have found paradise in an area called Kaanapali. The Sugar-white beaches, dramatic volcanoes, opulent resorts, and lush green valleys are all part of the Maui's mystique. See Kaanapali Vacation Rentals
It is an unbelievable area. You are close to all resorts that charge 400 plus per night but can get an unreal condo for 150-175/night. We did find some poor properties that said they were oceanfront or oceanview but were not.
Get familiar with the different resorts and get pictures of the ACTUAL view from where you will be staying. Also, make sure the pictures from the site are from the ACTUAL unit you will be sleeping in. My friends got mislead and their condo was overlooking a garden and across the street from the ocean. They thought they had a deal. Kahana is a bit farther North and is OK. There is a lot of high rise condo that did not fit the type of vacation we were looking for. There is a great Farmer's Market nearby, and lots of great food. The only thing we missed was huge sandy beaches. We had to drive a minute or two to get to the sandy beaches of the big resorts but we did save a few hundred bucks per night.
