LoustalNeuf is the most spacious of our gites. Its walled garden is a suntrap facing due South, with wonderful views from the shaded barbecue and dining area over green foothills towards the Pyrenees.

Inside, some of the original internal stonework has been exposed, so that you can see, and touch, and feel a century and a half of history; the rooms were enlarged and the ceilings raised to reveal the massive roof beams, and to ensure spacious, airy comfort for five or six people, with:

• A walled garden with shaded outdoor dining/barbecue area;
• Large (11 metres x 5 metres) open-plan sitting, dining and kitchen area;
• A sensitive blend of modern furniture for functionality, and hand-picked traditional Languedoc, Cathar and Catalan pieces to add style and atmosphere;
• Fully equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, double sink, electric oven, gas hob and washing machine;
• Traditional light terracotta ceramic flooring throughout;
• One 3 metres by 5 metres bedroom with up to four single beds and en-suite bathroom and wc;
• One double bedroom, 3½ metres by 5 metres with en-suite shower room and wc;
• Underfloor central heating and a log-burning stove to take the chill off spring and autumn evenings;
• Separate downstairs wc;
• Satellite TV, and DVD player.
