The Central West Gulf of Florida is a lovely vacation paradise with miles of beautiful beaches on the Gulf of Mexico.  Travelers can enjoy the larger cities of Bradenton, Tampa and Sarasota with all of their famous attractions and family fun.  Points of interest include Busch Gardens, the Florida Aquarium, Garrison Seaport Center, and Hillsborough State Park in Tampa.  Sarasota is known for its theater and arts and is home to the Ringling Museum of Art and South Florida Museum, Aquarium and Planetarium.  For a quieter beach getaway, the quaint Anna Maria Island is a perfect place to relax and forget your worries.  Other peaceful small beach towns include Venice with its picturesque canals and waterways and Indian Shores, home to the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary.

The Central Gulf Coast offers everything from small, idyllic coastal towns to unique shops, parks, beaches, and cuisine. Guests of the Central Gulf Coast’s vacation homes and rentals can swim, sunbathe, sight see, bird watch, or just wander; there is something for everyone in the Gulf Coast area. Anna Maria Island offers a seven mile long beach, fishing spots, and nearly fifty golf courses, while Sanibel Island is home to one of the state’s best shelling beaches as well as walking, biking, and jogging paths and the J.N. “Ding” Darling Wildlife Refuge.  Venice and Venice Island host beaches where visitors can hunt for shark teeth and seashells, fish, and explore the natural attractions. St. Petersburg, St. Pete Beach, Hudson, and New Port Richey are all famed for their water sports, beaches, and swimming, while Clearwater is especially well known for its museums, zoos, aquariums, and shops. Indian Rocks offers golf courses, beaches, and Treasure Island brings visitors back to the nineteen fifties. Redington Beach is where guests of Central Gulf Coast vacation homes, rentals, and cabins can find whale watching, casino cruising, fishing, and dolphin watching.
