Body surfers and boogies boarders also head to Coronado's main beach. The Glorietta Bay Beach is a more solitary beach, with a grassy park and a playground for kids.
Traveling across the Coronado/San Diego bridge will take you to the beautiful Balboa Park which is the cultural heart of the city. Coronado is also a golfing haven, with more than 70 courses located in San Diego. The Municipal Golf Course is a spectacular loop overlooking the San Diego Bay. Coronado also has bicycling trails of over 15 miles that meander over the island. Coronado therefore offers a “car optional” and healthy environment.
