Franklin is well known for it’s gem mining and it’s natural beauty of it’s surrounding misty mountains. Well located, Franklin is right over Georgia’s state line and about an hour’s drive from Tennessee. There are numerous trails and natural attractions in Western North Carolina.
Our town has plenty to keep you busy. There are various festivals and special events, along with local activities throughout the year. Additionally, there are numerous surrounding towns with their own style and charm. If you just want to relax, sit on our porch, hear the rustle of the leaves, enjoy the view and the sweet fresh mountain air.
