Owner websiteMy husband Doug, and I travelled the Caribbean extensively for several years always on the look out for a perfect caribbean get-away. Upon winning a sailing trip to the BVI we fell in love with Virgin Gorda. We purchased our property in 1993 and the villa was complete in 1994. We were the third villa in the area. Once Villa ValMarc was complete we were married on the beach. We are enormously proud of our home and have enjoyed many years of guests (often repeat)and their families.
Let us first state that the term 'most beautiful views in the world' seems to be overly used, but in the case of the Landry's ValMarc Villa located on Virgin Gorda, this description is aptly suited! (If not the best views perhaps the top 5). We spent our best vacation week ever on the island. We would strongly suggest that if you are considering an exotic vacation, ValMarc Villa is the place to be. Phil& Judy
My second stay at Villa Valmarc was just as good as I remembered the first. The rebuild from Hurricane Irma has brought it back even better than before. The huge open villa with its large windows give you the feeling of being outdoors even when you're inside. The kitchen is large and ideal for cooking, and the dining room table and island gives lots of space for eating. The patio and pool area is beautiful and a perfect spot for an outdoor dinner and to watch the sunset. The beach is a short walk and very quiet. Snorkeling in Mahoe Bay is amazing, and its all right there at the end of the path. Virgin Gorda is safe and has many great places to go for dinner, a drink, or just to wander around. Always sad to leave this place, but can't wait to go back!
I've been visiting Villa Valmarc since 2009 but this was my first time since Irma hit. I couldn't believe that this little pearl in the middle of Virgin Gorda can be more spectacular and welcoming than before. All the renovations and upgrades gave Valmarc an incredible feeling of comfort. I love going to the beach at Mahoe Bay but during this trip, there were times I just wanted to stay in the villa. The pool, impressive views, full stocked kitchen, comfy furniture - it's hard to leave paradize! Virgin Gorda is a gem for culinary experiences. Luckily, Villa Valmarc is super close to them all, no more than a 10 minute drive. My favourite restaurants from this visit: 1. Sugar Cane (everything on the menu was delicious) 2. Leverick Bay (best lobster & seafood) 3. Coco Maya (great atmosphere & cocktails) 4. Hog Heaven (mojito's & chicken sandwich are a must), 5. Bath & Turtle and Rendezvous Bar (specials are amazing, tuna sashimi is a go-to). 6. Unfortunately, The Rock Cafe is closed. Stayed for a week, got the rest and relaxation I needed. I'm already looking forward to coming back!
ValMarc really is an oasis. The quiet mornings, the beautiful view from any one of the patios as you drink your coffee and look at Mahoe Bay. Swimming in the pool as you enjoy the view. We loved everything about staying here. In the main house there are 2 bedrooms with a beautiful kitchen and living room. Everything is so clean! The kitchen has everything you need, it's quite spacious. You walk out to a patio with gorgeous views. There is a second house with 2 bedrooms, each with their own patios and views of the bay. The walk down to the beach is about 3 minutes. They supply beach chairs with coolers attached which you can bring down with you! We rented 2 person kayaks with glass bottoms so you could look at the coral. The bay is great for swimming and snorkelling. The island is so safe and everywhere is a short drive. No shortage of restaurants. My husband and I will be back as this is a place you don't want to leave!
My family and spouses ( 8 of us total ) stayed here in june of 2017 before Irma. views are unbelievable. property clean and well maintained. 5 minute or so walk to the beach. maid service almost every day. Ac in the bedrooms only which was not an issue with us. Plenty of games for kids and tv. We brought most of our food with us in 2 large suitcases to avoid spending our life savings on food. We had Buck's get us started with fruit, beer, milk, eggs, bread, charcoal etc and used Buck's for restocking. This was our 4th trip to Vg since 1999 and was as great a trip as the first. If a better property exists then go for it.
Our family spent the Christmas Holiday at both Villa Val Marc and Wendy's Watch. My husband and I brought our three boys, ages 8, 7 and 5 with us. We thoroughly enjoyed the breathtaking views from our balconies, the short walk to the beautiful beach and the postcard sunsets every night. The homes were modern, and had all amenities needed for a perfect vacation. The open space family room and kitchen gave plenty of room to relax as a family or find a spot to sink into and read a book. We look forward to our next vacation at the same spot!
